It staunchly advocates against consumerism, and supports fair trade, diversity, humane living conditions, monopoly-free markets and the end of child labour. It explores the exceptional aspects of the mundane, and deals with widespread, large-scale problems that plague humanity.

The author resides in Toronto, and consequently, many posts have a local flavour.
